In 2024, many challenges lie before us that will shape the American landscape for years.
Top of the list is the Presidential election. High drama will abound around the candidacies of Biden and Trump. The outcome will exasperate the deep divide and distrust in America.
Our southwestern border must be secured. The illegal alien crisis is further threatening national security. The FBI believes terrorist sleeper cells are among us.
The $34 trillion federal debt is unacceptable. The debt will cripple our country if not reduced drastically.
China will test us if they move on Taiwan; Russia might encroach on our NATO allies and further inject herself along with Iran’s proxies in the Middle East.
Bottom line: Statesmen and stateswomen must rise up and make the tough decisions to guide our country through the turbulent waters.
Bill Bunkley is an 18-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities. He has served as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention for the last 28 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee. By the Grace of his Lord Jesus, he is today a cancer survivor diagnosed in 2018 with AML Leukemia, having successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant that same year.
