Well, it’s a little embarrassing to have your brand new Governor fly around in an old drug confiscated airplane, an aircraft that on his day two in office couldn’t take him from Tallahassee to Ft. Lauderdale without making an emergency landing in St. Petersburg for mechanical issues. 

That is no way to run a state.

And I assure you that having Governor DeSantis and cabinet members rely solely on sparse commercial aviation schedules out of TLH to get them efficiently around the state is a nonstarter.

Former Governor Rick Scott used his private jet, but that isn’t a solution going forward.

Florida’s elongated peninsula and panhandle demand that the legislature appropriate whatever is necessary to reinstate the aircraft necessary to support the work of the Governor and his cabinet.
