For thousands of years, Jews have been the target of anti-Semitic hatred, persecution, and murder. And just days into 2022 we have witnessed another despicable attack against a Jewish synagogue in America.
Thankfully, I give praise and thanks to the Lord, as this latest attack included the taking of hostages during a live stream of their Saturday Sabbath services. All are safe at the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas. The attacker was dispatched by an FBI SWAT team.
This is a sobering reminder that in the times we are living in all churches and synagogues should develop and practice a response plan should their congregations come under a similar attack. Thanks to the response plan of this synagogue members were prepared to act, an action that saved lives.
