Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced a new anti-human trafficking resource for parents.
Florida is a hotbed for predators on the hunt for underage children. Our state ranks third in reports to the national human trafficking hotline as well as access to the state’s children via online apps.
The new online safety “tool kit” will list dangerous websites and apps used widely by predators attempting to develop and groom kids for exploitation.
It will also give parents links to both Apple and Android cell phone operating systems’ parental control settings.
Much has been said about the need for parents to know every person their kids are talking to online. Truth is, keeping a step ahead of your kids in technology is a challenge for most of us.
Using this online tool will help you close that gap.
