“Tampa’s Contribution To A $2.5 Billion Cartel”
Bill Bunkley With Something To Think About
Tampa has been known as the nation’s strip club capitol.
Now another unwanted distinction: a major U.S. hub for the massage parlor sex trade.
According to the Polaris organization, one of many China and Korean pipelines of human trafficked women feeds into Tampa’s Asian massage parlors.
It is part of a $2.5 Billion illegal cartel.
Asian women are duped thinking they are coming to America for a legitimate job. They arrive as slaves.
According to Polaris Executive Director, Rochelle Keyhan “It’s not the job they were promised. They’re not paid a base wage. They don’t know the language. They don’t have access to other lucrative jobs, and often their housing and transportation are covered by the trafficker.”
Closing down Kennedy Boulevard’s Asian massage parlors is a first step, but the pipelines themselves must be shut off.
