I could say a lot about November’s ballot disaster.

But notwithstanding the meltdown in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, I support legislation heard before legislative committees this week in Tallahassee, that would invoke the single-subject rule for amendments put forth by the Constitutional Revision Committee.

Remember those 5 questions out of the long list of Constitutional Amendments you sorted through, the ones that had 2 to 3 totally unrelated topics in one amendment question? 

Note that amendments originating from the legislature or citizen initiative are limited to one issue.

If passed and signed by the governor, a Joint Resolution passed by both House and Senate would stop multiple topic amendment proposals.
