Early political prophecy is coming true, as evidenced by the first-day marathon session of the Senate Impeachment Trial.

Day one dealt with rules, decisions going forward and round one for Democrat House Prosecutor’s attempt to call new witnesses.

House prosecutors lost big on both counts, as widely predicted. Senate Republicans remained lockstep defeating the prosecutor’s amendments. Only one minor change was adopted, adding an extra day of initial testimony.

Two-thirds of the one-hundred-member Senate WILL NOT vote for impeachment on the flimsy nonevidence. Twenty plus Republicans will not break ranks for impeachment.

So, here’s the really important question to ask, “How much will this whole impeachment shenanigan, when over, cost us, the American taxpayers, from day one?
