Could Friday’s March for Life 2022 in Washington DC be the last annual gathering for tens of thousands of pro-life Americans?
The annual March for Life event was inaugurated the year after the 1973 Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion in America. The idea for a March for Life was birthed in a Washington, DC townhouse by Nellie Gray and a handful of like-minded pro-lifers.
The 1974 event took place on the west steps of the Capitol with an estimated 20,000 attendees.
In the beginning, Nellie believed the annual march would only be needed for a couple of years until the court reversed its abortion decision. Well, it’s taken a lot longer than Nellie Gray had envisioned, but the faithful have gathered annually ever since.
This could be the year that Nellie’s dream is fulfilled.
And I’m praying it is.
