On Sunday, I had an opportunity to do something I had not been able to do for years because of my battle with leukemia: attend a live Buccaneer football game at Raymond James Stadium.

This was no ordinary game. It was an NFC playoff game against the Rams.

It was an experience to remember.

First, it seemed colder than the temperature indicated. The fan base was so loud it created a sensory overload. Every range of human emotion was thrust on the hometown fans as the Bucs struggled for three quarters, only to come so close in the remarkable fourth quarter to what would have been the Tom Brady playoff comeback of the of all time.

But it was not to be. An ex-Buc Rams kicker put us on the playoff weekend upset list with seconds remaining.    

Thank you, Bucs, for a great season and my trip to Ray Jay.
