We, who are so very blessed and fortunate to live in America, take our lifestyles for granted.

Even those who are economically challenged here have so much more than most of the 8 billion-plus people on the planet.

It’s only during a national disaster that we immediately come to our senses and realize those blessings.

For those of us who have weathered the aftereffects of a hurricane, we get it.

But sadly, about 800,000 to 1 million homes and businesses have lost power due to the massive winter storm. For many, it will take days to have their power restored amid freezing temperatures.

At least America has the resources to recover from the storm. Many places around the globe do not.

Floridians, count your blessings and chip in for those in need today. BB
