Those two senior guys Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski put a smile on the faces of all us older folks all around Tampa Bay and probably around the country. Clearly, they still have it.

The Buccaneers dominated the Chiefs 31 to 9 AT HOME to win Super Bowl LV.

As a Tampa native, I remember watching the construction of the Old Sombrero, Tampa Stadium. And going to preseason exhibition games, hoping one day we would get our own NFL team.

Then we got the Bucs.

And after many years as a season ticket holder, a road trip to San Diego to see the Bucs beat the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII, and now a Super Bowl win here at home, it just seems surreal.

So with the champion Lightning, Rays, Rowdies, and now Bucs, we are Tampa Title Town….where a pandemic couldn’t keep our great teams down.

Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
