“Compromise: Illegal Immigration Reform Special Legislative Session”
Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About”
Air Date Wednesday, February 12, 2025
The old saying “three times a charm” seems to be the winning combination regarding illegal immigration reform in Florida.
Florida Senate President Albritton, House Speaker Perez, and Governor DeSantis signed a proclamation calling for an immediate legislative Special Session this week.
It’s the third immigration Special Session since January.
The legislative and executive branches of our Florida government have worked out their general differences on how to coordinate local, state, and federal law enforcement to arrest, detain, and deport illegal aliens.
This legislation is crucial for the timely, coordinated deportation of Florida’s criminal aliens. Inconsistencies with ICE and Homeland Security enforcement with local agencies under the Biden Administration were at times nonexistent.
Florida may well be the model for the nation again.
