The struggle over saving the lives of unborn babies is now up to the 50 states, but abortion is not the only pro-life issue we should keep in our sights.
With the massive baby boomer generation beginning to age out, the young caretakers following that generation may be less likely to value their lives. In fact, some extremists, through the years, have characterized the older generation as ‘useless eaters.”
With large numbers of Americans ambivalent over the killing of unborn babies, I don’t think that line of thinking is, well, unthinkable.
Take Yale University professor Yusuke Narita, who recently suggested “mass suicide” as a way to solve Japan’s aging population.
Senior euthanasia is not happening now, but we must be proactive to reject serious consideration of thoughts like that of the Yale professor.
