It’s time to pay a little more attention to your “defensive driving” skills next time on the road.
That’ because according to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, our newest drivers, millennials, are the worst behaved drivers of all.
Of a survey of 2,511 licensed drivers who were asked about their personal texting while driving, speeding or running red lights, 88% of drivers between the ages of 19 and 24 said they were guilty of at least one infraction in the last 30 days!
12% believed it was perfectly OK to drive 10 miles over the speed limit in a school zone.
14% say it’s ok to drive through a light that just turned red.
And they were twice as likely as other age groups to type an email or text while driving.
Clearly, these are accidents waiting to happen.
