“Parental Rights Bill Almost Ready for Florida Senate/House Chambers”

Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About

Parental Consent for Abortions recently passed the legislature and is awaiting Governor DeSantis’ signature.

Related bills dealing with Parental Rights concerning underage children’s medical decisions and public-school education are almost ready for consideration in Florida’s House and Senate Chambers.

LGBTQ advocates oppose the bills.

SB 1634 by Senator Kelli Stargel and its companion HB 1059 by Representative Erin Grall clarifies the fact that parents must be included in the medical decisions involving medical treatment, surgeries, or drugs administered to their underage children. It also stipulates parental rights in the area of the public school education of their children.

I, along with the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, fully support Parental Rights legislation.
