Have you ever thought about the number of beaches that line the globe’s shorelines?

It’s a bunch.

Now I know there are beaches, and then there are THE BEACHES. You know like Waikiki Oahu, Dreamland Bali, Bathsheba Barbados, Seven Mile Grand Cayman, Horseshoe Bay Bermuda, Harbor Island Bahamas, Blue Beach Puerto Rico, and Trunk Bay St John US Virgin Islands.

But are you aware that we have a good one right here in our back yard, and it’s a three-time United States best beach winner in the last four years?

That beach is Clearwater Beach as rated by Trip Advisor travelers. Clearwater is also rated in the top six globally, a list that includes Hawaii.

So maybe this summer save the big bucks to fly and lodge at a faraway beach, when a close Clearwater staycation might do just fine.
