An implausible vote was taken on the U. S. Senate floor Monday night that causes me to ponder just how Barbaric is America becoming.
The legislation was the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Simply put, if an unborn baby lives through an abortion and exits out the birth canal alive, everything in medical care must be deployed to save the baby’s life because a live birth has occurred.
Sounds like a no brainer right?
Wrong.
The bill failed to garner 60 votes needed to pass the Senate chamber. All no votes were Democrats. All yes votes were Republican. Three Democrats crossed party lines to vote yes for a final vote of 53-44.
77% of Americans oppose infanticide, which means they support this bill.
Some say its murder.
Some say it’s a woman’s choice.
