There is a significant shaking taking place in the world around us. People sense something big is unfolding, something taking us out of our peaceful comfort zone to a place of personal insecurity.

That spirit is everywhere. Friends and family are watching and asking questions about the Russian invasion. Children display an unusual engagement in asking questions about the battle of good versus evil playing out in real-time.

As a Christ-follower, the Bible instructs me that a time will come when we shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, but not to be troubled by them; the end has not yet come.

Now would be a good time to check out the claims of Jesus Christ because knowing Him takes the fear and edge off these troubling times.

I would not want to navigate through these troubling waters without Him. 

Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central /Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
