I don’t know about you, but these days I keep asking myself over and over what is going on? It wasn’t long ago that life was good: America was at peace, we had full employment, the stock market was booming pre-pandemic, gas prices were down, we were energy independent.
Suddenly, and I mean, suddenly, we have sunk into uncertain times.
Topping that uncertainty, the world around us reminds us it can be an evil, dangerous neighborhood. It’s as if we are watching in disbelief as if Adolf Hitler has risen from the dead.
I don’t know where all this is going to end up. Only God knows.
I do know that though uncertain about current events, I am certain who is above and in control of all things both here and across the universe.
May we look to God in these uncertain times, He is trustworthy and will see us through.
Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central /Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
