Many Americans are getting their first taste of the new “stay at home” paradigm shift. Figuring out how to work from home, having most of their entertainment originate from home, will certainly take some figuring out.
While that is happening, COVID-19 reported cases will spike up this week, as Chinese reported cases spiked up weeks ago when they implemented a new COVID-19 counting protocol.
As thousands of test kits and new testing sites become available, the number of people who will test positive will spike up the reporting numbers. Those aren’t necessarily new cases.
This week’s spike is a reporting spike, leading us to an accurate baseline.
Any vertical spike of new cases due to community spread is yet to be determined, as we stay at home to flatten out the curve.
