It’s almost time for the census.
The findings of the census will have enormous implications. It will decide the division of the U. S. House of Representatives and state legislative districts, plus allocations of a host of federal programs.
And a question that has been asked until the 1950 census is posing a huge controversy: Are you a citizen of the United States of America?
The Trump Administration wants the question included, but lawsuits from the left want it left out.
Liberals will claim that scores of people will not complete the census if the question is asked, rendering the data useless. Others will say leaving the question out also seriously skews the data.
Either way, it is imperative to determine as best as possible the numbers of people who are living here legally and illegally.
