“President Trump Attends Supreme Court Birthright Citizenship Oral Arguments”
Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About”
Air Date Thursday, April 2, 2026
For the first time in almost 250 years of United States history, a sitting President attended the oral arguments in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court.
The case is Birthright Citizenship, the subject of one of the first Executive Orders President Trump signed at the beginning of his second term.
Arguing the President’s case that children of illegal aliens should not be granted citizenship was U.S. Solicitor General John Sour. ACLU Attorney Cecilia Wang was arguing for their citizenship.
The back-and-forth was rapid-fire questioning of both sides. It is hard to predict where the Justices will come down on their decision.
But anyone here illegally should not be eligible for citizenship. People are scamming the system.
It's time for that to stop.
