After a long and protracted battle over who would replace the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, Senate Majority Leader McConnell is keeping his word in seating Judge Neil Gorsuch.
But it’s not too early to look ahead in anticipation of the next replacement on the high court. And that one is for all the marbles.
We have not one but three aging Supreme Court justices that President Donald Trump may have the duty to replace.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 84, Anthony Kennedy is 80, and Stephen B. Breyer is 78.
Both liberals and conservatives know the stakes are high over who will replace these long term justices.
Absent a debilitating illness or death to one of these justices, rumors are swirling around Washington that Justice Kennedy is considering retirement later this year.
