President Trump’s bold and ambitious reciprocal tariff initiative is already delivering its desired objectives: 50 countries, plus the European Economic Union, have made official requests to the White House to conduct talks centered on renegotiating their unfair tariffs on America.
One country, China, is bucking the President by retaliating with an additional 34% on top of its existing tariffs. President Trump responded that unless China immediately backs away from the 34% increase, he will increase Chinese tariffs today on Chinese goods up to 50%
As a side note, a barrel of crude oil has dropped $10 since April 1st, so we should see some relief at the gas pumps.
As I have stated before, it will be a bumpy ride financially for family households and businesses. But the long-term payoffs will bode well for our children and future generations.
