Holy Week 2025 begins with the celebrations of Passover on Saturday and Palm Sunday. It concludes with Good Friday and Easter.
Jews and Christians will both take time to participate in many scheduled events and traditions to reflect on the spiritual impact on their lives.
This year, it would be wise during Holy Week for Christians and Jews to contemplate the future of Religious Freedom in our country and around the world.
Many take for granted the freedoms we receive and the blessing of Religious Liberty. But anti-Semitism and hostility against Christians are on the rise, and we must always stay vigilant against those threats.
As we freely celebrate these very important tenements of our faith, pray for those in foreign lands who must do so undercover for fear of severe persecution and even death.
May God Bless this Holy Week in America.
Bill Bunkley is a 19-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission and the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities. He has served as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention for the last 29 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee. By the Grace of his Lord Jesus, he is today a cancer survivor diagnosed in 2018 with AML Leukemia, having successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant that same year. His wife is Toni, son is Zac, and they attend Idlewild Baptist Church.
