“When Social Isolation Runs Amok”

Bill Bunkley with Something to Think About

Some government jurisdictions have taken this social isolation way too far. I think our elected officials ought to talk with the professionals running our jails and prisons to understand what happens when you keep people cooped up too long without anything to do.

People need to keep busy. You can’t keep a community physically isolated for a long period of time without creating even bigger problems.

You can’t walk after nine nor walk the beach. Now some are proposing you can’t buy an unnecessary can of paint when you grab your eggs and bacon at the big box store.

Really?

Our politicians better get a grip on reality pretty quick, or they may soon see their constituents up close and personal like those protesting absurd Civil Liberty restrictions around Michigan’s capitol.
