“Conduct Unbecoming A Member of Congress”
The City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is bracing for what could be a very explosive public reaction spilling out on their streets because of the pending verdict in the George Floyd murder trial.
Given what that community and the nation have witnessed on the alarming and unnecessary detention video of Officer Derek Chauvin, it is understandable why so many are incensed, including me.
Typically our elected leaders are voices for calm amid potentially explosive situations.
But not Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters. She publicly called on protestors there to “Get More Confrontational.”
That is clear rhetoric that is inciting more violence in Minnesota.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should take Congressional action against Waters because of her conduct unbecoming a member of Congress.
Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities.
