“Sarasota School Board Chair Tosses Mom from Meeting”
I guess the Chairwoman of the Sarasota County School Board, Jane Goodwin, is not a big supporter of the 1st Amendment of our U. S. Constitution.
She joins a chorus of left-wing voices on a mission to stifle free speech in a public meeting.
During a recent school board meeting, parent Melissa Bakondy was recognized to speak at the podium when Chairwoman Jane Goodwin abruptly cut her off midsentence for “what you are about to say.”
Say what?
That’s right, this parent was cut off and summarily escorted out of the chamber by Sarasota County Sheriff Deputies!
In the process, Chairwoman Goodwin went on to ask if she had children attending the school district.
So now free speech is not allowed for what you are about to say. And being a taxpayer of Sarasota County school taxes doesn’t give you a right to speak either.
That’s just wrong.
