Reopening America and our home state of Florida is going to be more complicated than many expect. Overlaying social distancing requirements to business, entertainment, and social venues can be quite a challenge.

A case in point is Georgia.

In Georgia’s first phase, movie theaters are allowed to reopen. But with the social distancing of six feet and no more than ten people allowed in a group setting, how is a theater to make a profit?

I can’t imagine any theater ownership group agreeing to reopen on these terms. The operational costs to pay movie royalties, constantly sanitize the theaters, bring furlough employees back to work, and expect a make a profit off a ten-person showing seems like fantasy land to me.

Just declaring a business can open, doesn’t mean it can open.
