I’m Bill Bunkley with Something To Think About.
Today is the day that the Florida Legislature should wrap up their annual session.
For weeks speculation abounded it would be some time in the summer months before the Florida House and Senate would mutually agree on the annual budget.
But like so many years before movement surfaced toward an agreement between the chambers the last week of the session.
It will be several days before we’ll get a clear picture of just what made it into the budget and what did not. And Governor Scott will surely take his veto pen to the annual spending as well.
And who knows what we’ll be learning, when it comes to light, about the amendment surprises that were quietly slipped into legislation during the last couple of days.
