Once again we have a case of a shameless politician and over the top self-promotion.

The latest example is Florida’s new Agricultural Commissioner Democrat Nikki Freed.

You have probably stood at a gas pump and glanced at the state inspection sticker. In the past it included the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services logo, name of the Ag commissioner, date of the last inspection plus a contact number.

Well, the new Ag Commissioner decided to substitute her picture for the Ag logo. Trouble is, the legislature just passed a bill that forbids selfies on inspection stickers. And who knows how many thousands of stickers are out there and out of compliance.

I wonder if Freed should personally reimburse the state for the replacement costs of the illegal, self-promoting stickers.
