Yesterday U. S. markets opened 2% lower after China announced it was retaliating against the U. S. by increasing tariffs on $60 billion of our products come June 1st. That’s in response to President Trump’s hike of $120 billion tariff increase on Chinese goods.
The trade war is on.
All this is happening because those close to the negotiations say the trade deal was 90% done when the Chinese suddenly reneged on what was agreed to after top Chinese officials were briefed on the deal.
Trump response: raise tariffs.
This comes as no surprise as China is in the same camp as the likes of North Korea, Russia and Iran; all of which will renege and cheat on any deal at any time.
Fortunately America has a leader, President Trump, who won’t put up with nor placate the Chinese nonsense.
