I was wondering with the nationwide shift in the news cycle just over a week ago, do you remember back to our national emergency over COVID-19?

In case you missed it, Governor DeSantis just gave us an important update: Phase Two has arrived.

That’s right, social gathering protocols throughout most of Florida, including our West Central Region, are being rolled back once again.

Today theaters, concert houses, auditoriums, playhouses, bowling alleys, arcades, tattoo parlors, tanning salons, acupuncture, massage, and bars can reopen some with limitations. Stores and gyms are free to operate at 100% full capacity.

Locally, Busch Gardens and Adventure Island will roll open their doors next week.

And that means more people back at work, some good news in these difficult times.

Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
