I want to introduce you to Diana Martin. She is a resident of Hanford, California and lived at the Windgate Village Apartments. Been there 14 years. She is also 85 years old.
She moved into her apartment because the complex was advertised as a senior housing.
Well, with months left on her lease and completely paid for, the new owner of the complex served her with eviction papers. He claimed her advanced age, sharing her faith and praying for others, were reasons she had to go. The apartments would now be marketed to young people.
She cried to owner John Draxler that it was winter and she was in poor health. Draxler’s response “that’s your problem.”
Her case is now before the courts but this is the abuse of the elderly.
Oh and by the way, John Drazler is the Vice-Mayor of Hanford.
