America is dealing with multiple crises.
Covid-19 was the first crisis. The second crisis arose with the unjustified conduct of four Minneapolis Police officers resulting in the death of George Floyd.
That travesty has now evolved into a national crisis involving the nation’s law enforcement.
Steps will be taken to review top to bottom all law enforcement policies throughout the country. But amid this highly charged time, it would not be wise to defund law enforcement while emotions are understandably running high.
Revisions in some law enforcement procedures and conduct will be forthcoming, but should only come after careful, thoughtful, prayerful consideration of the potential consequences each change would have.
Making a hasty change is not wise governing.
