Every morning when we wake up, we should be full of gratitude for another day of life before us. We are reminded daily by events in the daily news cycle that our earthly life is so short and can come to an unexpected conclusion at any moment.
You become comfortable with thinking that I am going to live a long, long life. But we know that will not be the case for all of us.
The Bible instructs us to never go to sleep if we have ought with any other person. Settle an issue before your day ends, especially with a family member or good friend. You never know what the next day will bring.
A life of regret over a disagreement is too long to bear when a loved one departs this life unexpectedly.
Every day of life is precious, of great value, not to be wasted or treated carelessly.
Bill Bunkley is a 15-year veteran Salem Radio talk show host based in west-central /Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
