“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”
With these closing words from the Declaration of Independence, 56 patriots put it all on the line for freedom as they understood it from the Holy Bible.
They were lawyers, a doctor, a surgeon, ministers of the Gospel of Jesus, farmers, sheriffs, printer, publisher, scientist, surveyor, judges, tax collector, customs collector, mercantile owner, carpenter, architect, author, inventor, ship owner, plantation owner, poet and college president.
The struggle for Independence is not over.
Many no longer share the vision or the values of our Founding Fathers.
We must support the blueprint of America our Founding Fathers gave us; a God fearing Republic that remains the light of freedom all across the globe.
