Americans have unfortunately developed an unofficial slogan: I want it, and I want it right now.
Thanks to instant food drive-through and Amazon Prime same-day or next-day deliveries, the practice of patience has become a lost art. And it is a habit that will become addictive in all areas of one’s life.
But being an impatient person will cost you. It breeds a spirit of not having any concern or empathy for others. Hasty demands can lead to bad decisions: decisions that can be very costly. Impatience leads to grumbling and ultimately anger as your needs are not immediately met. It hampers right thinking.
Instead, practice patience and a measured approach to your daily affairs.
A peaceful, patient, paced life is a more fulfilling lifestyle than constantly living stressed out.
