"Call Governor Scott: Ask Him to Veto Whiskey & Wheaties Bill"
I’m Bill Bunkley with Something To Think About.
Governor Rick Scott has received a tremendous response from Floridians opposed to Senate Bill 106, which would change the state’s liquor laws.
Currently, closely monitored standalone package stores are solely authorized to sell hard liquor.
Walmart, Target, and other family retail stores hired well positioned, high paid lobbyist to change the law in their favor: to sell hard alcohol along with their Wheaties.
Family friendly Publix opposes the change. Thank THEM the next time you shop there.
And by the way, not a single Floridian came up to Tallahassee asking for this bill or saying they had availability problems at their local package store.
What Florida doesn’t need is to encourage impulse buying and more shoplifting, especially when someone is having a bad day.
Just ask Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Contact the Governor and just say Veto Senate Bill 106.
