“Florida Abortions See Increase”

Women’s abortions in Florida for the first six months of 2023 increased to more than 38,000 babies extinguished. That tops the 33,382 terminated unborn children in the same period in 2022.

That’s an increase of at least 4,618 unborn babies that never had a chance of a fulfilling life.

But why the increase? Didn’t the Legislature pass a more restrictive six-week abortion ban?

The answer is yes, but that law is on hold until a Florida Supreme Court hearing on September 8 to uphold the previous year’s 15-week abortion ban and strike down the overly broad right to privacy interpretation.

For now, Florida has the most liberal abortion restrictions of our adjoining southern states; thus, women are coming here in increased numbers.

If the 6-week abortion ban is upheld, you will see these abortion numbers dimmish significantly.
