The residents of St. Pete are voting for a new mayor.
They are fortunate that a very capable former mayor who did an outstanding job overseeing their city’s interests, Rick Baker, is willing to return to serve them.
St. Pete is in desperate need of Baker’s immediate fiscal leadership, and I mean that literally.
The city budget cannot afford four more years of the current mayor’s excessive borrow, tax and spend philosophy.
The current mayor’s mismanagement and cover-up regarding the sewer mess alone demands a change. Add to that excessive spending approval on the new police headquarters and unknown costs to complete the controversial pier project further makes a case for change.
Every election candidates say they have “proven leadership.”
This time it’s definitely true.
That’s why I recommend to St. Pete residents they vote to return Rick Baker as their mayor.
