“Florida Sheriffs & Police Chiefs Say NO to Recreational Pot”
Bill Bunkley’s “This Is Something to Think About Commentary”
Air Date Friday, August 2, 2024
Florida law enforcement across Florida is saying a resounding NO to Amendment 3 that would enshrine in the Florida Constitution legalized recreational Pot.
The Florida Sheriffs Association and the Florida Police Chiefs Association raised their concerns about public health and safety and increased crime.
Based on other states that made the mistake of legalizing Pot, road safety tops the list of concerns. An increase in police "calls for assistance" will also cause delays in response times.
If passed, anyone 21 years of age can possess, purchase, smoke, or ingest Pot.
Friends do not be fooled. They won't be buying Pot from a state dispensary with low-mandated THC. No, they'll obtain it from street drug dealers with super high THC levels laced with who knows what.
Follow law enforcement's lead and my recommendation. Vote NO on Amendment 3.
