The professional sports world is again drawing attention to itself with the latest foray into a subject off the court by the National Basketball Players Association.
The Orlando Magic organization is pleased with the leadership of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. As you know, the Governor is running for President, and the Magic has submitted a political contribution to “Never Back Down,” a political pact supporting DeSantis to the tune of $50,000.
The National Basketball Players Association declared the contribution alarming.
Governor DeSantis responded, “It appears the NBA took a break from protesting our anthem and bending the knee to Communist China to chirp about my politics.”
Ouch!! Well said, Governor.
The NBPA would be wise to focus on their players. Beyond that, everything else is out of their league.
