“Debate Night in America”

It’s debate night in America; all eyes will be on the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia.

But nobody is expecting a lot of love when former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris face off at the National Constitutional Center for 90 minutes under the scrutiny of the ABC News interrogation unit.

The city and venue are fitting since both candidates say the other “is a threat” to Democracy.

On this point, President Trump has the facts on his side.

Team Biden-Harris, now joined by Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz, have already proven THE threat to our Democracy with their Marxist platform and embrace of socialism.

Will the debate unfold as a clash of ideologies or descend into an unseemly personality contest?

Either way, America’s perception may mean a significant bump for one candidate and a doom-and-gloom scenario for the other.

Bill Bunkley is a 17-year veteran Salem Media talk show host based in Tampa. The Bill Bunkley Show airs weekdays across central Florida from 3 to 6 pm. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Convention Churches), among other churches and entities. He has served as the legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention for the last 27 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee. By the Grace of his Lord Jesus, he is today a cancer survivor diagnosed in 2018 with AML Leukemia, having successfully undergone a bone marrow transplant that same year. His wife is Toni, son is Zac, and they attend Idlewild Baptist Church.
