Saudi Arabia’s oil fields were attacked, and the damage assessment indicates a total of 17 different bomb sites hit by rockets or cruise missiles from the north.
Iran stands as the country most likely to be responsible and has a clear motive to put the world’s energy supply in chaos.
President Trump stands allied with Saudi Arabia and Twitted out “we are locked and loaded.” This comes at a time when the region was already on fragile footing because of Iran’s hostile activities in the area’s shipping lanes.
If the President indicates the evidence clearly points to Iran, and decides a military response is required, will he have coalition support from other nations or will our forces pursue a retaliatory strike alone?
Either way, this will be a big test of the “Trump Doctrine.”
