In a long-anticipated move, the Federal Reserve has decided to cut interest rates before the upcoming election.
After years of runaway inflation brought on by the reckless free ‘COVID” stimulus money infusion into the pockets of many unneedy Americans, courtesy of Biden’s Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve, the rate cut came in at 50 basis points.
The markets debated whether the cut would be 25 points or 50 basis points.
The 50-basis point cut is raising concerns. It could be a sign that the Fed is worried about the potential risks of its previous policies, which could trigger a recession.
The decision to cut interest rates has not been without political implications, with Republicans in Congress expressing concerns about the timing of the move.
The advice wasn’t taken, and Vice-President Kamala Harris is already claiming credit.
