President Trump went before the United Nations General Assembly on opening day to make the case for Global Religious Freedom. Persecuting people of faith around the world is a human cruelty imposed on millions.
The Pew Research Center says 80% of the world’s population live under religious restrictions.
It is the first time a member nation’s leader has spoken on the scourge of religious persecution.
The UN has done little to address religious liberty. In fact, it has turned its head away from such persecution atrocities.
The UN’s opening day focus was on climate change. Trump skipped over that agenda and choose instead to focus on religious freedom. Rather than debating how much man is or is not causing climate change, he focused on the fact of manmade religious persecution.
