After a reflection period from Tuesday night’s combat in Cleveland, I’m more appreciative of what President Trump is fighting for on my behalf, on your behalf, than discontentment with his combative style.

I was uncomfortable during moments of Tuesday night’s slugfest. I am not wired to engage in like manner.

But I’m thankful President Trump is.

No one on the planet has the fight and energy this man has for Judeo-Christian values that made our country great.  

Name who else would still be fighting, winning against a radically dishonest media, violent Marxist revolutionaries, DC swamp elites, radical abortion extremists, religious freedom bigots, and anti-capitalist insurgents.

Maybe, just maybe, it takes a man like Donald Trump to win this fight for America’s soul.

Bill Bunkley is a 14-year veteran Salem Radio Network talk show host based in west-central Florida, airing weekdays 3 to 6 PM. Bill is also President of the Florida Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, which serves as legislative consultant to the Florida Baptist State Convention (Southern Baptist Churches throughout Florida), among other churches and entities. He has served as legislative consultant to the Convention for the last 24 years at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
