American allies in the northeast of Syria, the Kurds, are at serious risk now that the decision was made to pull out 1,000 troops who provided a safe buffer with Turkey.
Kurdistan is an unrecognized country historically a part of Iraq. The Kurdish people are known for their religious diversity, with Christians free to live out their faith alongside other religions.
From the Iraq war to the present, the Kurds have been staunch allies with the United States. Currently, they hold captive 2,500 ISIS fighters for the U.S.
Turkey will soon attack the Kurds, claiming them a threat.
That’s nonsense.
The U.S. pullout opens the way for ISIS prisoners to break free and reform their terrorist cells. And a beautiful group of Christians will be decimated in the process.
Allies no more.
