To the casual Washington observer it seems that business is as usual inside the Beltway witnessing the usual negative traits among the country’s most powerful politicians: hypocrisy, duplicity, narcissism, corruption, dishonesty, greed, bad judgement, arrogance, pomposity, smugness and of course taking credit for everything good while blaming everyone else for something bad.
But the real disruption and dysfunction right now in the nation’s capital, nearly invisible to the casual observer, are the hordes of bureaucratic federal employees deep inside every agency.
They are, by and large liberal in their philosophy, they don’t like President Trump, and they certainly don’t like his conservative initiatives. They are an invisible corps of staffers staging disruption and designing dysfunction in their all-out coordinated opposition to the President’s agenda.
They are the Deep State. They’re not just a conspiracy theory; they are in fact the real deal.
